Do we need to make a reservation or can we just show up at the airport?

Yes, reservations are strongly recommended so you can fly on your preferred date and time. Book online or call +1-941-336-4966 to schedule your flight.

How do I make a reservation?

You can book your biplane ride directly on our website or by calling our office. Once confirmed, you will receive an email with all the details for your flight.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight. Flights are non-refundable unless Suncoast Biplanes cancels due to weather or other safety-related reasons.

Is it safe to fly in a vintage biplane?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our WACO biplane is meticulously maintained, inspected before every flight, and flown by FAA-certificated, highly experienced pilots who operate in full compliance with FAA regulations.

Is there an age limit?

There is no strict age limit. Children under 12 must fly with an adult, and we have flown guests from about age 4 to well into their 80s. We focus more on size and mobility than age and can provide a booster for younger children so they can see out.

Is there a weight limit?

Weight limits depend on fuel load, weather, and other factors. As a general guideline, we recommend a combined passenger weight of about 400 pounds. In some conditions we may limit the flight to a single passenger to maintain safe weight and balance.

How many people can ride at once?

Gracie seats two passengers side by side, so you can share the adventure with a friend or loved one. For some aerobatic or higher-performance flights, we may limit the ride to one passenger for safety and balance.

Where do flights take off from?

Punta Gorda flights depart from the PGD Air Center on Challenger Blvd at Punta Gorda Airport. Venice flights depart from Skyport Aviation, 400 Airport Ave E, Venice, Florida.

How much does a biplane ride cost?

Most scenic flights range approximately from $349 to $799 per flight, depending on the route and duration. Prices and special promotions are shown when you book online and may vary by tour.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our flight?

Your pilot monitors local weather closely and will only fly when conditions are safe and comfortable. If weather prevents your flight, we will reschedule you for another time at no additional cost.
